Finland is truly a magnificent country to live. Take it from us, we live here. Not only does WCF base it's operations from Helsinki but we get to enjoy a strong car culture here with a very serious level of motorsports enthusiasm. So it brings a tear to our eye, when the latest episode of the greatest automotive program in the world, Top Gear, does a feature segment with local hero, ex two-time Formula 1 world champion, Mika Häkkinen, here in Finland. The segment dazzles us with Mika showing some skillful car control with a Mercedes C63 AMG, but it also sums up very nicely the Finnish motorsport mentality and influence. Now, if we could only get off our computers and enjoy the outdoors...

I'm digging the ol' skool Mercedes W201 rally car.

Schuey may have more championships, but he just doesn't seem to enjoy driving as much as Mika. Instead of watching an F1 race from his former team's paddock, Hakkinen is drifting on gravel roads with a huge smile on his face. I love this guy (in a purely platonic and heterosexual type of way).

i always wondered where WCF was based that explains why when i post a comment the time is always hours behind. And now i know why the stories stop on weekends the WCF boys are probably out drifting or something.

Viking, did i hear you say that Shumie does not like driving? You are kidding right! This Shumie is not only racing bikes now but he is also taking part in the race of champions and getting caught overspeeding. Shumie has more racing blood in him than Mika - try bikes and come tell me if its the same as 4 wheels.
